Maquete Experiment

For the first test I created to designs, one to test the strength of the car glass and glaze once its been fired to cone 5, and one to test the flow of the glass.

These two pieces fused very well together. The bond felt sturdy, but not as strong as a ceramic bond. I felt that I could break it off if I really tried.

The second test showed how much the glaze run during the firing. I expected the car glass to stick the parts that it would flow through but as you can see in the picture it all just melted down through the gaps.
